Overview

Lunar Xinh ("we", "our", "the app") is a Vietnamese lunar calendar application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All personal data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

Reminders: Titles, dates, notes, and notification preferences you create.
Preferences: Language selection, theme, notification settings.
Calendar cache: Computed lunar calendar data for performance.

We do not have access to this data. If you uninstall the app, this data is permanently deleted.

Analytics (Anonymous)

We use Aptabase, a privacy-focused analytics service, to collect anonymous usage statistics:

App opens and screen views (no personally identifiable information).
Device type and OS version (aggregated).
App version.
Crash reports (via Sentry, no personal data attached).

Aptabase is GDPR-compliant and does not use cookies or track users across apps. No IP addresses are stored.

None of these services receive personally identifiable information from Lunar Xinh.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the app uses your device's local notification system. Notification scheduling is handled entirely on-device. We do not use push notification servers.

Children's Privacy

Lunar Xinh does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. The app contains no objectionable content and is rated 4+.

Data Retention

Your data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
Analytics data is retained by Aptabase for 90 days in aggregated form.
Crash reports are retained by Sentry for 90 days.

Your Rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:

Access: View all your data within the app (it's all on your device).
Delete: Remove any reminders or preferences within the app, or uninstall to delete all data.
Opt out of analytics: Disable analytics in Settings > Privacy.
Data portability: Not applicable — we do not hold your data on any server.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL and noted with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
